DriveRec Update

DriveRec 1.2.0 is now released. Here is the main screen shot.
A new button is added, which integrates Google Maps so as to get your driving directions.
As shown bellow, the lower three buttons are, from left to right, Browse Videos, Get Directions and Settings.


Here we press the "START REC" button, and start your recording...


Tap to show control bar... the three buttons, from left to right, are show route, stop, and show info.


If we press the stop button, it will terminate recording and then go back to main screen.
Here we press the show route button to show the current track.


If you need to fix the current location at the center of the map, just press the "Center" button.


While recording, press the show info button which leads to Statistics page.


Go back to main screen, and press "Get Directions"...


Input your origin and destination directly into the text field... then get your directions.

Done input origin and destination, press "Get" button.


Your driving directions will be returned by Google Maps.


For more detail, press Panel button on the tool bar.


If you select any of the item on the panel screen, a more detailed information will be indicated.


Let's get back to Settings...
Choose one color you prefer and the whole user interface will be changed.

DriveRec preview

DriveRec is an application for video capture while traveling by vehicle. It can also record your route, speed, time and location information during the trip.

After initiating the app, there're three main buttons: Start, Browse, Settings.


Press Start to capture video immediately. The hint below the screen is optional.


Tap to show the control bar. The buttons are: Show route, Stop capture, Statistic info.


Press Show route to see your current track. The upper right Center button can keep your current location fixed at the center of the map.


Press Statistic info to show the current trip statistic data. The color theme here is set to green.


Press Stop capture to finish your capture process, and it will then return home automatically.


Now press Browse to preview the videos you had taken. The color theme here is set to red.
Here you can preview the thumbnail image of your video, also the date, time, duration and file size info.


Here we tap the last one, we can play the movie or do something else. The color theme here is set to orange. The five buttons bellow are: Backup movie to camera raw, Review the track of the movie, Review the statistic info, Email KML file, Remove the movie.

Alternatively, you can backup the movie directly through iTunes file sharing.
